Hello and Blog Hop Winner

Today is the final introduction to our new team members.

Tess Pretty might be last on the list but she is by no means the least.

A little about Tess:

Hi, my name is Tess and I live on the beautiful South Coast of NSW. I live with my gorgeous fiancé Austin and our Border Collie Echo. I work full time as an Administration Manager for a trucking company.

I have been seriously scrapbooking now for 4 years and find it is a wonderful way to relax at the end of the working day. My subjects are the people in my life. My nieces and nephews, my friends and their children, my gorgeous border collie Echo and my fiancé Austin, along with the places we visit and the things we do.

I love that scrapbooking is as creative as you want it to be and is forever changing, as is my style. It gives me a chance to capture my life in photos then tell my story. And my camera is never far from reach.

I have recently had layouts picked up by Scrapbooking Memories magazine and guest designed for Scrapbook Savvy twice. This is my first Creative Team position and I am more than thrilled to be working with so many talented ladies.

And her layout from our application sketch:

I also promised that I would share the winner of our Blog Hop in today's post. Unforunately there were a couple of hoppers who either forgot to email me the words at the end or comment on some of the blogs. The winner, as randomly drawn, is:

True Random Number Generator

Min: 1
Max: 17
Result: 5

which is Lizzy Hill. Congratulations on winning the gorgeous sold out August We're Savvy kit from Scrapbook Savvy. I will contact you today to arrange postage.

Don't forget you only have until midnight tomorrow night to get your layouts in for any of this month's 4 sketches. I am astounded at the amount of entries so far but would always love to see more.

Please make welcome

We are nearing the end of the introductions to the new team. Their first sketch samples will be doing up on the 1st / 5th September and I can't wait for you all to see what they have created.

Before then, let's introduce Raquel Pert.

A little bit about Raquel:

Hi, my name is Raquel, I'm 27, a primary school teacher and I live in Melbourne. I have a gorgeous fiancé and we are getting married in December, so no kiddies just yet! We have shared an amazing last few years where we were lucky enough to live in London. Wow! What an incredible experience we had, so many memories I am still left to scrap!

I LOVE to scrap, and my favourite parts about scrapping are not only the gorgeous products but also the fantastic online community that I have found since I started scrapping. I have not been on any DT's as such, though I work at my LSS teaching and also on their website, so that has helped me keep up to date in the scrapping world. I have been published in numerous publications and those details can be found at my blog, http://raquelp.blogspot.com/p/published-pages.html

My favourite things to scrap are the things that mean the most to me – those special people in my life who I adore! My boy, my friends and my family feature the most on my pages. I don’t quite have a word to define my style, however, I love coordinating different brands and mixing and creating my own colour combinations - and layering and clustering seems to feature on pretty much all of my pages.

Come back tomorrow for our final introduction.

Fresh Face

Sorry we were away for a few days between introductions, a funny little thing called life got in the way.

Today we are introducing new CT member, Helen Kinsela.

And a few things Helen had to say about herself:

Hi, I'm Helen (aka "countryscrapper" in some circles) and I collect paper and pretty things! Sometimes, all the lovely papers and pretties make their way onto scrapbook pages so I guess you could call me a scrapper LOL. I think I've always dabbled in papercrafts of some kind or another, but I caught the scrapping bug 7 years ago whilst pregnant with my first child and I haven't looked back (although I'm sure my long-suffering husband wishes otherwise).

The subjects of my pages are most often my 2 children, Caitlin (7) and Ciaran (5) and the aforementioned hubby, Marty. This playing with paper hobby has also led to a keen interest in photography, a natural progression of course, and so I find myself guilty of taking photos for the purposes of scrapping those memories rather than just for memory's sake. Surely I'm not the lone ranger here ...?

We live and work on our family farm in Central West NSW which encompasses a large cropping and grazing enterprise, so farm and business life for us is never dull or boring. It can be extremely challenging and stressful at times, but it is a lifestyle that we love and appreciate and wouldn't swap for quids.

For some crazy reason I decided last year that being a stay-at-home-mum, housewife and farmers wife (read: farm office work, farm "go-fer", personal secretary etc) wasn't enough so I took the plunge and Red Earth Scrapping was born. This little baby of mine is an online papercrafting business incorporating a shop, forum & gallery, and I also hold workshops with some local ladies at home. It allows me to combine my passion with a home based business and so far, despite being relatively small, it's all good. I extend a warm invitation to you all to pop in and say hi at Red Earth Scrapping and browse the shop where I'm sure you'll find a heap of great products at great prices.

Red Earth Scrapping has been a regular sponsor of Stuck?! Sketches and now that I have been honoured with the chance to join the Stuck Creative Team I am even more proud to be involved with two fabulous scrapping sites. I look forward to the sketches each month and hope I can bring you all a little inspiration with my work.

And finally, Helen's take on the CT application sketch:

Back tomorrow with another introduction.

Birthday Blog Hop

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the Stuck?! Sketches Birthday Blog Hop. This morning, our CT members will be revealing a word on their blogs. You must collect all of the words. Once you have finished, email the list of words to stucksketches@optusnet.com.au, along with your name and location by midnight Sunday August 28th. You must also comment on each of the blogs to be eligible for the prize drawing.

The prize on offer for this hop is generously donated by Sarah at Scrapbook Savvy, an August We're Savvy kit valued at $25.00. The winner will be determined randomly from everyone who emails the correct list through.

Someone Familiar

If you have been following the Stuck?! blog for a while, you would know that today's new CT member is actually a returning member. Charmane Koch had been on the team for over 2 years before deciding to take the last term off. I am glad to say that she is back now and I am looking forward to seeing layouts from her again.

A little bit about Charmane:

My name is Charmane Koch, and I have been scrapbooking since May 2004, a couple of months after my son Chei was born. Since then, I haven't stopped! There's not a day that goes by that I don't do something related to scrapbooking {or think about it!}

After living in Melbourne for the past 15 years or so, I have recently moved to South Australia, with my partner and 3 children, Chei {7}, Harmony {5} and Ryarne {almost 2} to be closer to my family and give the kids a new way of living. My partner Ashan, got into Photography around the same time as my scrapping, so we both have similarly related passions!

In the years that I have been scrapping, I have been on numerous Design and Creative Teams, published numerous times in Aussie mags such as Scrapbooking Memories, Scrapbook Creations & For Keeps {when it was around!}. I have also taught online classes from 2006, which has been rewarding and challenging too!

I am so stoked to be back on the Stuck?! Team, I find that when I truly am "stuck" Sara's sketches always help me get started. My style changes from time to time, but at the moment I am loving paint, stitching, distressing - I also love handmade items - they are definitely a must on my pages!

I look forward to inspiring others along with the fab team at Stuck?! Sketches :)

Welcome

We have another new Creative Team member to welcome today, Chantelle Huizenga.

And a little bit about her:

I'm a SAHM to four amazing boys who keep me very busy and motivated. You will often find them gracing my scrapbook LO's. And I'm married to a wonderful man who is very tolerant of my craft additions!! I've been crafting for over ten years, mostly scrapbooking but have enjoyed stamping and cards too! I love where scrapbooking is at the moment and enjoy keeping up with the latest products and trends. I see scrapbooking as an art - I love colour and design and really enjoy challenges that allow you to explore and step outside the square.

I'm thrilled to be joining the Stuck Sketches Creative Team and look forward to sharing my work with you soon.

http://chan3boys.blogspot.com/

And Chantelle's fabulous take on the application sketch.

We are also sending our thoughts to CT member Crystal as she is going through a tough time at the moment and taking a break from Stuck?!. We wish her all the best and encourage her to stay strong.

Another intro tomorrow.

Introducing...

Over the next few days I am going to be posting a little more detail about our new CT members.

Our first new member, is Celeste Vermeend.
A little bit about her:

I have been scrapbooking for almost 8 years. I first scrapbooked my baby twins premature birth and their stay in hospital. It was a stressful and emotional time and I felt I needed to document it more creatively and that led me to my local scrapbook store. The rest is history! I am now a mother to five. Having had two more little ones after my twins and oldest daughter. I live a busy and chaotic life that I wouldn’t have any other way – most of the time! My love of scrapbooking eventually led to photography. And I now run a small business from home and I love it. Up until my last two children were born I had been regularly published in all three Australian scrapbooking magazines. I have held a DT position on the now defunct For Keeps magazine. I was also a Scrapbooking Memories Master in 2008. I no longer submit my layouts for publishing preferring instead to enter online challenges. I feel honoured to be a part of the Stuck Sketches design team and am very grateful for the opportunity to step back into a designing role after quite a long absence.
